Penahanan Dr. Asri

Bekas Mufti Perlis, Dr. Asri ditahan di rumahnya baru-baru atas dakwaan berceramah tanpa tauliah.

Beliau juga didakwa oleh beberapa pihak termasuk Persatuan Peguam Syarie Malaysai sebagai berfahaman Wahabi dan menolak fahaman Ahli Sunnah Wal Jamaah.

Kita sebagai rakyat biasa yang rendah ilmu agamanya sudah tentu tidak berhak menilai siapa yang betul siapa yang salah.

Cumanya kita berharap perkara ini diselesaikan dengan penuh hikmah dan berlandaskan apa yang diajar oleh agama kita.

Tidak ada gunanya dua pihak sesama agama bertelagah antara satu sama lain, yang rugi nanti adalah umat Islam itu sendiri.

Sejarah telah membuktikan berkali-kali, Islam jatuh kerana fitnah-memfitnah dan pertelagahan sesama umatnya sehingga timbul kucar-kacir.

Yang untung sudah tentu musuh-musuh Islam. Apabila kita bertelagah sesama sendiri, kita menjadi lemah dan amat senang untuk diserang dan dikalahkan oleh mereka.

NSTP will be taken private

Media Prima has announced its plan to acquire with NSTP and later make it private.

Media Prima holds more than 40% of equity in NSTP making it the biggest shareholder. It will acquire the remaining by offering the shareholders 1-for-1 share exchange at RM2 together with one free new warrant in Media Prima for every five offered shares accepted.

Dated back to 1983, shareholders of NSTP who found the STMB (TV3) which later evolved to Media Prima, the most prominent multi- media company in our nation.

I am just a bit curious, at first, NSTP who found TV3 (later known as Media Prima) and now, Media Prima will acquire NSTP.

With Media Prima and NSTP have the relatively equal size of resources in term of their funds and assets, I think it should be a merger or consolidation despite takeover.

Is this like in Malay we call 'seperti membela ular, akhirnya tuannya pun dipatuk juga or we pet a snake, at last it bites us.

Cow's Head

Is it proper for a Muslim or group of Muslims to insult other religions?

Is it allowed for those with 'kopiah' or 'songkok' on their head to step on a cow's head as a show of protest?

Does cow, especially its head symbolizes the god of Hindu people?

By stepping up on the cow's head, does it show Muslims do not respect other religions?

Shouldn't the frustration to be settled by negotiation with calm and respect to each others?

Does Islam teach us to do something with thorough thinking, patient and full of wisdom or 'hikmah'?

Influenza A H1N1

Several schools have been ordered to close down temporarily due to the detection of H1N1 virus among the students. Cases have gone up day by day.

H1N1 virus as we know, came from pig or swine. It was initially being called as swine flu. After it infected human, it was called H1N1 and it has become a pandemic, affected wider geographical area.

Pig is capable of processing virus that infects it to a more dangerous virus.

Now that we receive a good lesson from what had been told by God and Prophet Muhammad. Eating pork is haram or prohibited because pig itself has very powerful germs that cannot be destroyed even it is boiled with high temperature.

Prohibition from eating pork is no more than to keep ourselves healthy. God and Prophet Muhammad know better.

Bernard Madoff and Ponzi Scheme

Ever heard of Ponzi scheme or Pyramid scheme or in Malaysia at one time, it was known as Skim Pak Man Telo.

The scheme operates a big amount of money invested by their investors. Use the money invested by new investors to pay return of up to 30% to their existing investors. Actually, there is no actual investment activities taken place, it is only about defrauding the investors.

Who and why Bernard Madoff? He is one of the operator of Ponzi scheme. What make him so famous? He swindled his investors' money and made them lost USD$ 65 billion.

His victims was no small victims. They include banks, charities, institutional investors and rich men around the globe who invest huge amount of dollar.

Madoff investment scheme attracted people around US and world by fraudelently-promising high return of 12% and above given any economic condition. He was also a NASDAQ chairman, so no wonder why people were confident with him.

Until at one time, his company can't afford to pay the promised return anymore. SEC (Security Exchange Commission), after receiving reports from several whistle blower, later discovered that Madoff scheme was merely elaborated and complex Ponzi scheme.

He was sentenced 150 years in prison.

Majikan Sialan

Apa sudah jadi kepada kita, apabila seorang amah Indon hampir hilang rupa badannya kerana didera majikannya yang lebih teruk perangainya daripada binatang.

Manusiakah seorang manusia andai hilang rasa perikemanusiaan. Jika hanya dia seorang amah sekalipun dia itu manusia, jadi layanlah dia seperti seorang manusia.

Lalu jatuh terpalitlah tahi ke muka rakyat Malaysia kerana durjananya majikan seorang ini. Malu dan buruklah kita di hadapan pemimpin dan warga Indonesia. Tidak cukup itu, cacatlah pemandangan dunia terhadap kita.

Sudahlah dulu kita dimalukan dengan kes Nirmala Bonat. Itu yang muncul di media, yang tidak, hanya Tuhan yang tahu.

Inikah rakyat Malaysia yang dikatakan berbudi bahasa budaya kita itu. Sezalim inikah rakyat Malaysia?

Wajarlah majikan itu dikenakan hukuman berat yang setimpal. Biarlah ia jadi pengajaran ke atas ramai lagi majikan yang tidak layak tergolong dalam kelompok manusia.

Pilihan Raya Presiden Iran

Presiden Ahmadinejad yang mengalahkan Moussevi, calon pembangkang memang sungguh tidak disenangi Barat dan Israel kerana kelantangan Ahmadinejad membangkitkan isu-isu Islam, Barat dan Israel.

Jadi propaganda Barat-Israel pun bermula. Dikatakanlah pemilihan ini dimanipulasi. Digembar-gemburkanlah rusuhan golongan yang menentang kemenangan Ahmadinejad. Diheboh-hebohkanlah penangkapan tokoh-tokoh pembangkang.

Bukan kita tidak tahu, jika seorang pemimpin dunia itu tidak disenangi, mereka sanggup lakukan apa sahaja untuk menjatuhkan pemimpin itu. Paling mudah ialah menimbulkan perpecahan di kalangan rakyat.

Bukan kita tidak tahu mereka ini adalah konspirator terhebat dunia. Yang boleh sahaja mencipta pelbagai jenis propaganda untuk menjatuhkan pemimpin yang tidak sebulu dengan mereka, menaikkan pemimpin yang menjadi boneka mereka.

Nanti sengaja mereka menimbulkan alasan untuk berperang. Kemudian datang kononnya sebagai penyelamat. Ini semua rancangan cukup jahat Barat-Israel.
